We had a great Easter weekend with family and friends! The Akers crew arrived Thursday evening and Emma had a blast playing with her older cousins for four days. I think she is going to be very disappointed when she realizes that they have gone back to New Orleans and are no longer at Gran and Poppy's.
Saturday all of the kids dyed Easter Eggs at Gran and Poppy's and we spent most of the day outside enjoying the beautiful weather. On Sunday, Emma woke up and found her Easter basket filled with goodies from the Easter bunny. We rushed out the door to begin our day celebrating the Day of Resurrection at church. The Meldrum's had their annual Easter egg hunt and Emma found several eggs and got her picture with the Easter bunny. After the hunt, we had lunch with everyone at Gran and Poppy's and were sad to have to say our goodbyes to Lala, Uncle Akers, Jess, and Alexis.
