First Boat Ride

We had a great weekend with family and friends! On Friday, we headed to Lake Bistineau and spent the night at the Robert's Camp with Nancy, Trey and Laurel! The girls had a big time playing together and it was nice to spend time with Betsy, Ron, Nancy and Trey. We had a great dinner of course and Lake Cakes on Saturday morning. Laura, Jason, Alexis and Jess were also at the Lake spending the weekend next door at the Meldrum's Camp with the Varnadores, Theriots, and Prices, so there were lots of kids and fun to be had on the lake.

On Saturday, Emma went on her first boat ride and wasn't so sure about the life jacket. Patrick and Emma had some "daddy daughter" time while I went back to Shreveport for a much needed haircut. Saturday night we went to the Birthday Bash for the Robinson Film Center downtown with Gran and Poppy and had a great time listening to live music and eating crawfish.

On Sunday, I woke up with a text message from Katie Waggoner Dean. I was relieved to know that Baby Dean was on his way! George Walker Dean was born around 12 o clock. He was 7 pounds 7 ounces, 21 inches long, and precious! I can't wait to get my hands on him. After church , Patrick decided to smoke chicken and ribs for dinner and our weekend ended with 3 tired and dirty cousins in the tub!
